Praise is beautiful!
Praise is
beautiful!
By Patricia Newman
You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For his mercy endures forever. Psalm 118:28 – 29
I will
bless the LORD at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm
34:1.
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. Hebrews 13:15
Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen. Revelation 7:12
I delight to praise God because I delight in Him. Unceasingly
I will delight in Him because of Who He is. My Maker and my Sustainer, He knit me together in my mother’s womb. He
gave me physical life. Every breath comes from Him. Every provision. Every
comfort. Every solace. I delight to praise God because God is love. He
demonstrated His love for me in that while I was still mired in sin and rebelling
against Him, Christ, the Son of God died for me. His sinless, precious blood perfectly
atoned for all my sin. In Christ, He met my greatest need: God gave me spiritual life.
He raised me from spiritual death and He gave me eternal life. Hallelujah!
Whom have I
in heaven but You? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides You. Psalm 73:25
Praise is becoming of every creature to its Creator. Praise
is beautiful! For God is worthy to be praised.
From the
rising of the sun to is going down
The LORD's name is to be praised. Psalm 113:3
God is the supreme and incomparable One, Who alone is deserving of every praise. The truth of God’s attributes - His divine perfections and excellencies - demands praise. To whom shall we liken God? He is the One Who was there at the
beginning, being Himself without beginning and without end.
Before the
mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting You are God. Psalm 90:2
We praise Him because He is the Creator of heaven and earth. He
alone is God.
In the
beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis
1:1
Not only did He speak the universe into existence by His
word; He upholds the universe by the power of His word.
We praise God because He is glorious in holiness. We praise
God because of His perfect justice. We praise God because of His infinite mercy.
We praise Him because He is omnipotent. We praise Him because He is omniscient.
We praise God because of His infinite goodness and lovingkindness. He is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all. We praise God because, as the Bible says, He is:
The Rock!
His work is perfect,
For all His
ways are just;
A God of
faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous
and upright is He. Deuteronomy
32:4
We praise God because it is a divine injunction from God’s
word. Let everything that has breath praise
the Lord (Psalm 150:6). And because praise centres wholly on Who God is, we can praise Him "at all times", in all seasons of our lives because He never changes. In the mountain top, we praise God, in the valley of afflictions He remains worthy of all our praise. The regenerate delight in His praise. Our passionate
love of God fuels our adoration and praise. God delights in His people. He inhabits
the praise of the redeemed.
Praise God for His great mercy and amazing plan of salvation
for unworthy sinners. Praise God unceasingly for the cross of Christ. Praise
God for His glorious grace. Praise God for His unfailing word. Praise God for
His faithfulness. Praise God for the glorious future ahead for those in Christ.
Praise the
LORD!
